Will this tiny crab cause problems?

I've recently aquired a small frag of seriatopora. I noticed that a tiny crab came with it, and the crab stays with the Bird's Nest all the time. Should I leave it, or get it outta there? It's not causing the coral to close it's polyps, but I'm still questioning...

smooth shell == good. hairy shell == bad.

Also, the blue eyed acro crabs are very bad.

In a normal hitchiker crab, red eyes is a bad thing, but that does not apply to acro crabs. Your little friend there is beneficial, no worries :)

It doesn't seem to be causing any problems with the polyps, plus I'm seeing some new growth on the tips. I think I am going to leave it and see how things go.

i would love to find some more acro crabs

Ditto.. wouldn't we all.. after Interceptor wiped all of ours out :(

do a search on RC.. you will see many people asking the same quesitons and making the same statement. The trouble is that the crabs have a short lifespan unless hosted in a coral, typically. To date, I know of no one who sells acro crabs (outside of a purchased coral).
