Will this work for a QT setup?

possibly getting an orange shoulder tang from a local reefer who is taking down his tank.
looking to see if I have my QT setup right

I found a 29 gallon and did a water change out of the DT for about 24 gallons and put a few gallons of fresh mixed water.

Also added a small piece of LR out of the DT as well as a sponge out of my reactor. Hopefully this will be enough bacteria. The rock has been in my tank since May so i think it should be ok. Running a HOB filter with just floss in it.

Let me know if this will work. fish should be coming to me this afternoon

How big is the tang? A. olivaceous can get pretty sizable.

it is only 4.5 inches

Assuming you have a heater and a small powerhead, that should suffice. Note that if you have to medicate, the LR will complicate things.

And test ammonia often plus do water changes very often

I planned on pulling the live rock if i had to medicate anything
