will this work for my mantis???

i'm going to be moving my mantis, Igor, into my 10gal. display fuge. there wont be a lot of rock in it so i was thinking about running some PVC along the back of the tank under the rock rubble that's in there to give him a place to call home... i was going to have 2 or 3 exits off of the pipe...

would this be a good idea??? will he like it??? he's a smasher about 3.5" long and a reddish color....

sould the pipe be just a little bigger than his body diameter or twice as big so he can turn around inside of it???

go bigger because when they grow, they might outgrow their pipe, and it wouldn't be that easy replacing one with your mantis in it....

I made an elaborate PVC system for my G. ternatensis. He tried it out a couple of times, but then decided to fill the doors with sand and dig a burrow under some sand. I only spent about $10 in PVC pieces, so it wasn't a huge financial blow, but he didn't use it.
