I have a 180 now and I'm adding another 180 for a fish only tank...I want to plumb the tanks together to a central sump in my garage...I don't want much live rock in the fish only tank...I was thinking about putting most of it into the sump...What size pvc would you guys think I shoud use for the drain and return? just wanted to see more fish in the tank than live rock...I thought by having both tanks plumbed to the same sump it would be alot easier to do water changes...Thanks for any help...

Let's see... for a 3x to 5x flow through the sump (melev recommended) would be 540 to 900 GPH that means a 1"- 1.5" return. Drains would range from the low 2x1" drains, or 1x1.5" to 2x1.5" or 1x2".
