Will two Maroons get along?

I am still fairly new to this hobby, about 6 months. Ive had a maroon since i started, he's about 3 inches right now. My question is I found a 5-6 inch maroon at my lfs, and Im wondering if they will get along, or if they would fight until one died? Thanks for any ideas.

I don't think that mix would go over too well--there's a very good chance that your lone maroon is a female and I can't imagine a 6-in maroon that isn't also female. You weren't going to put them in your nano, were you? Are you setting up another tank?

don't do it, u should add new 1, if any, that's 1/2 the size...

No not in the nano, I have a 65 thats been up for about two months. I didnt think it would be a good match, but thought i would get some input, thanks!

nope agree dont do it. find the smallest lil juvi maroon that you can. it may take months. but its the only way its going to work for you.

Funny, i was in my lfs the other day and they had a BABY maroon, smaller than my thumb nail, gawd it was cute they are hard to come by, but it'll come

I noticed that you referred to your maroon clown that you've had for 6 months as a 'he'; at this point, it's a she!!

that clown as the LFS that's 5-6 inches is also a she, they will fight until one is head. You have to find a juvenile to match up with your clown
