I have a 35G HEX and I am having a problem with Algae. I have to clean my tank everyday to get rid of the algae growing on the glass. If I buy a UV sterilzer will this help my algae problem? Thanks!

Not really. You need to just solve your algae problem. Your bulbs may be causing algae growth if they are old or ect. How much flow do you have in tank an whats your water levels? Phos? Are you overfeeding? Are you doing water changes, if so how much?

Ozonizer will be better option than UV. However, I would suggest you to find the cause of algae growth, like Andrew mentioned.

Yes .. and macro-algae will help also .... such as caulerpa ...

The macro-algae will utilize the nutriants that the single celled variety of algae i.e. green water need to thrive .... A combination of both will also help keep nitrate down & kill parasites.
