Will wrasses eat pistol shrimp?

I currently have a Tiger Pistol - Yoshi Pair, but would like to add a wrasse to my tank. Are Pistol Shrimp large enough that they won't be bothered by a wrasse? Are there wrasses which are less likely to bother him?

Thanks.

He is a good size, maybe 2-1/2"
So with the flasher wrasses, is it because of their smaller size or because of their temperament that they would be good with a pistol shrimp?
With the other (larger?) wrasses, would it be a a sure thing they would bother him, Or really a hit or mis thing?

Thanks

you would probably be ok with a radiant wrasse... i know they are reef safe but im not a 100% with shrimp.... or african divideds are a decent size 4 to 5" and are pretty

any wrasse can go for shrimps. you never know..... you just kinda take the chance.

Yep. I would say fairy and/or flashers are the safest. I have a 3" yellow with a pistol and peppermints, and a small leopard in a different tank with a pistol, peppermints, and a fire shrimp, so far, so good.

I wouldn't worry aobut it too much. Pistol shrimp are naturally very secretive and wary of fish other than their partner goby. Plus the pistol claw is a pretty formidable defensive weapon.

Agree with this. Reef safe wrasses also tend to have smaller mouths not suited to crushing shrimp. I think you'll be fine.
