Will zoos spread?

On the rock where ive placed my zoos there is a carpet of red alage thats tough as nails to get off the rock..the only way to get rid of it would be to take off the rock and scrub for like an hour. Will my zoos be able to spread and overtake this alage (sp?)

Ok the rock has this red algae on it thats really ahrd to get off and i cant remove the rock because my jawfish den is right below it. I have some Zoos growing on the rock where there is none of this algae. Will my zoos be able to overtake the algae to spread on the rock?

no its kinda like hair except its shorter and really hard to pull off..and it doesnt grow as fast or as tall
