Wire for DC4

I just got my DC 4 in the mail today from Premium Aquatics. Is it suppose to come with the wire to connect it to the AC II? Mine didn't. Is it just a regular telephone wire?

Yes, regular telephone wire.

It is a regular telephone wire with 4 internal wires, and yes it should be in the box w/ the DC4. Max length is 10 feet.

Thanks Curt,
I found an extra phone cord that was 4 conductor around the house. I have another question about using the external inputs in the serial connection. My AC II is gonna be permanently connected to my computer. Do I have to cut into the serial wire to get at those 2 wires and how will I know which wire corresponds to which pin? Is there an easier way to do this?

Most just open the DB9 end of our cable and connect the float switch wires there. The external switch out signal is connected to pin 8 of the DB9 (usually a brown wire). The external switch in signal is unconnectd in the DB9 and is usually the red wire.

So I connect one of the wires from the floatswitch to the external switch in and what do I connect the other wire of the floatswitch to? One of the ground wires, if so what color wire is that normally?
