Mr. Vitko
I purchased 4x 6100's in Jan 2006.
This weekend I removed one of them form my tank for cleaning and the black sheathing protecting the smaller wires running into the back of the pump split open. It is right at the back of the pump where most of the wire flexing occurs. I put the unit back into the tank and it is operating fine but I just wanted to get your input as to repair options etc...
Will the windings be damaged if I continue to operate the pump like this?
The sheathing running into my other 3 pumps is brittle also so I may need a preventative plan to prevent this in the future.
I haven't taken any pictures yet but I will if needed.
Thanks in advance for your help and your advice.
