Wish me luck! Starting Interceptor in 48 hrs

If anybody has any last minute pointers I'd appreciate them.
I am going to begin dosing this Friday(I just got my drugs today-what a hassle it was getting them!).

Run lots of carbon, do two 25% water changes every week for at least three weeks after the last treatment. I just finished my third treatment. I am treating one more time next tuesday. It is a frustrating process but it was not as bad as I thought, My Hawaiian Hermits made it, my shrimp made it. And I doubled the recomended dosage the first treatment. I went from 25mg per 10g of water to 45mg per 10g of water. I have noticed a diatom bloom, and a brown hair algea bloom, so a water changing I go...

It is my understanding that I do a 25% water change 6 hours after my first treatment. Is this correct? Am I supposed to do any more water changes after the first treatment or simply wait a week, do my second treatment and then another 25% water change.

How do I get my acro crabs out of my acros?

I got the med from a vet. I would like to try Pet Meds next time(if there in fact will be one) without a RX.

The interceptor will stay in the system after the treatments that is why after you are done you need to keep doing water changes for the next few weeks. To flush the system of all of the intercepter. I was unable to get my acro crabs out and they perished.

The treatment is not that big of a deal. Get out whatever inverts you can. I got out my emerald crab but left my cleaner shrimp and porcelain crab.

Treating 1/16th of a large dog tab in a 20L, the porcelain made it and the cleaner did not. I also didn't do the first water change until 30 or so hours after treatment, which I feel contributed to the death of the shrimp. I didn't do the 2nd WC.

My second treatment was smooth as silk, porcelain was fine, no sign of the bugs. Did both prescribed WCs this time.

Debating a 3rd treatment. No sign of the bugs and my corals are bouncing back quite nicely. I was sure that several of my frags were toast, but they're getting PE and color is improving every day.

You'll be fine.

edit: No acro crabs here, so I can't offer advice in that area.

IME, vets don't want to write a scrip but they will sell you the meds. I took the summary by Dustin Dorton to a local vet, explained it to his nurse and she went and talked to him. He was OK, sold me the meds and told me to come back whenever I need to.
