It is re-build weekend or maybe re-stock with an upgrade.

While we were out of the country we had an ATO issue with my 510, with all of the people in the office not one noticed that all of the corals were dead, like really dead. It was not until we got back on Monday that i knew the extent of the damage. 55 gallons of water change a day for the past week sometimes 2 a day and all of the levels are finally back to normal

So today we add the Salinity Probe for the Apex we install the camera and add the dosing pump. I am not sure what else we can do but monitor and hope that we have contingent plans. Everyone in the office now knows what to look for and how to test the water.

All of the fish survived which at least that is an upside but the live stock in this tank has been growing for about 8 years. So to say there was a lot of tears and slamming doors is an understatement. I was ready to rip it down and put it on the curb but we did not and it is time to start the rebuild.

If there is anything else you think I should add to the tank just for quick monitoring let me know, but I can tell you it will be a very long time before we go on vacation again

Did you find out what the problem was or what failed? Salinity probes are prone to inaccuracies and failures. Making sure your ATO is limited in how much water can be changed per day by utilizing a small reservoir is a must. Human intervention is almost always a necessity.

Human error and they were trying to fix and issue with out calling for help. They tired their best and then it went down hill from there
