WLAN Card

So I hate to ask this but i can't really find a direct answer after looking through previous posts. I am looking at getting a WLAN for a Profilux Plus 2. If I install this is this going to give me the ability to control the Profilux remotely, for example through a Iphone App? I realize I will have to set up an IP address for the unit itself I am just wondering if I install a WLAN card what other functionality am I going to get. Thanks.

you can do this 2 ways... the first one is with the Profilux Lan card and a wireless bridge, the advantage of this is that you can also use it for other device and it can be replaced as wireless technology changes.

The other option is to get the wlan.

Now to get "control" on the PII from the Iphone you will have to load software on a PC as the only way to control a PII is with PLC. If you go with the p3 you will be able to do internally. Also in both scenario you will need access to a wireless internet connection and set up a dynamic DNS or have a static IP.

Firstly - The WLAN card for the Plus II is not far off the same price give or take as the P3 upgrade.

My choice would be spend the money on getting your controller upgraded then all you need to do is buy a cheap wireless bridge

What is the turnaround time to upgrade to a P3? I think I read this but there isn't any issues with using the older digital power bar or analog powerbar is there?
