Wondering about after treatment.

I have a QT setup and have treated the 28 days with Coppersafe. Due to Marine ICH. Do i need to change out all of my filter media or since i treated with Coppersafe should it all have died off. I am letting my DT sit fallow for 10 weeks to be sure it clear up as well.

It depends. Is the tank cycled or are you having to do a lot of water changes to ward off ammonia?

I assume you're talking about the filter in the QT.I ould keep the copper at the suggested dosage for at least 6 weeks. At the appropriate time, remove the copper with carbon or cuprisorb. If you're not going to use the QT soon, you can dry the QT media for a few weeks and put it in a good flow area of your DT to re-cycle. It will be ready to instantly cycle a QT/HT when needed

Everything is cycled I did not have to much trouble with the cycling process currently sitting at 0 ammonia,0 nitrites and 10 nitrates. I was more or less wondering about switching out my filter floss. I have a canister filter on a 38 gal for my QT and all that is in it is the filter floss. I have carbon ready to put in it to pull out the copper and am going to do a partial water change to help.
