Wooden Stands

Here's my DIY wooden stand under my 75g, pretty basic. However I'm rebuilding the entire system in prep for a reef, so the canopy is gone and being replaced by an Outer Orbit pendant, and the stand is getting sanded and painted black. (It's coming out of the basement too, so no more ugly paneling behind it :D)

is your 75gal a 4' long one??if so i would suggest going with 2 outer orbit pendants when i started my first 55gal i used 1 150w outer orbit pendant mounted directly over the center of the tank and it only lit up the area directly under it...you can kinda see what i mean in the pic...oh and sorry i got off topic

should've mentioned, it's a 48" pendant system, 2x150w and 4x54w T5.

thank you though, I do appreciate the help none-the-less!! :)

Attempt number 2.

It's in a hallway, so it's hard to get a good backed up shot of the whole setup. This gives a good general idea of the wood and stain. I built the framing out of 2x4 and 2x6 lumber, and then faced with solid oak (not plywood). I'm relatively pleased with it so far (been about a year).
