words of advice on my treatment of red bugs.

I have had red bugs for a while now and have been hesitant to treat them in my dt with interceptor. i have dipped them one by one but the of course returned.

my tank is 40g and a 20 g sump. with displacement i would probably say my system is around 40 - 45g total

I have stolen some interceptor from my wives dog stash which is 2.3mg but the directions say to us 25mg per 10 gallons so i guess i need to pick up more.

I plan on dosing 3 times - should i wait a period of time in between doses?

i have read to use a bunch of carbon after each dose - is this a necessity?

should i worry about pods for my goby afterwards?

thanks in advance

I did my second treatment 7 days after the first and the third treatment fourteen days after the second. I filled my reactor with new carbon after each treatment along with a 25% water change. The carbon will remove the interceptor after the treatment and im sure skimming does the same. It will completely wipe out your pods. My mandarin has been fine so far but I do need to replenish my pods still. In case you didn't know, this treatment will also kill shrimp and crabs. I lost all except my porcelin crab, dont ask me why he survived. I was worried at first but its really no big deal. After you finish the first treatment you will feel a lot better about it. My corals have done a 180 and are growing and showing great PE again. If you have any more ?s post em up and I will do my best.
