work in Fiji

Dear members,
I have an opportunity for a livestock and coral farm manager to work and live in Fiji. I have recently been notified that my aquaculture manager in Fiji wishes to return to the USA as their children are getting older and need more schooling. I will need to replace him soon and was hoping someone in the in the hobby might like to apply for this position. The applicant must have a pretty thorough knowledge of various coral species (especially Acropora) and be willing to work for a commercial enterprise. You must also be a qualified diver with some experience growing coral.
As you might know I have pioneered coral farming on a commercial scale since 1998 and introduced man made cultured live rock a year later. House (with pool and view) and vehicle are provided along with all that Fiji has to offer.
This position would require full time work load and the commitment to live in Fiji for at least two years under contract.
My personal contact would be best to use walt@waltsmith.com
If you are interested in this position please email me your background of experience any other information you feel would be appropriate.
Thank you,
Walt Smith

Oh man I would give anything for this job!!!! I've only been reefing for about a year i'm growing acros, but I don't think that is qualified enough. I am a good diver though, and I'm going to major in marine bio so hopefully one day :D

well it gives me hope that there's even jobs like this that exist just makes me want to work harder so hopefully one day... (opens up the text books)

Im going to fax copies of my PADI cert card as well as my DL and passport.

who said two years ??? I would be happy doing this till Im an old man !

Think about getting up every morning and being THRILLED to get to work. I really hope Mr. smith considers my inquiry.

I could literally tear down my tank tomarrow, store other belongings in my uncles warehouse and be on a plane by monday if need be.

nothing tying me down!

You should apply. The worst thing that could happen is someone else would get the job. I use to dream of a job like this, but my time has come and gone and I have too many commitments here to pack up and leave.

Been in the hobby for over 25 years. I am also a PADI certified advanced diver with over 50 dives. Just have to convince the wife to move and I will send you my resume.
