I found this guy in my 75 gallon reef. Not sure, but seemed to be eating some zoos. I took him out and got some great photos. Hopefully some one can ID this guy. No links to Chucks addiction already looked and no match. There are 4 pictures and they pretty much all show something a little different. Check it out.
It is in the well of a seachem test kit for size reference. About 1/2" long maybe.

Leslie???(she's the best at ID'ing worms):wavehand::wavehand:

Cool. Thanks your the best. For my normal digital camera I thought they were great pictures. I did send Icefyres a PM. I'll help anyone with those nasty worms. I just pulled another one out of my tank not to long ago. They are tough to get rid of. They have been popping up all over the place. I never saw a post on Oenone's, but now I see them all the time. Must be where they are collecting from??

I have a couple that came out of some bali LR. The only thing is the store I bought the LR from had a tank with different LR from all over the world so no telling where it came from. To think when I started up I use to feed that guy because I thought he was a bristle worm and wanted him to reproduce!

I tried doing the inverted bottle technique and caught many snails and hermits. The only sign of the oenone/oenones was the giant ball of mucus in the bottle and a dead snail lol. I am not too worried though. I buy snails pretty regularly to replace the ones that my mantis eats. I do not see myself keeping ornamental clams any time soon :)

Lelsie you pointed me in the right direction. This looks more liek what I have. Not much info on the web about it other than linking it to the human brain. Reef safe or no??

Wow, disregard the post earlier, I posted on the wrong thread! Sorry about that. Thought I was on the one about oenone fulgida worms!

A "better" way might be to get a lil bowl and sort out a little "island" then fill with vinegar = small place to roam and you can get close and personal. Thatts what alot of bug macro photo ppl do atleast. Also some phone cams have a macro setting, works for me atleast when taking pics into my tank. Still looking into getting a DSLR to really get portraits etc of my encounters with the amazing lil unknown buggers I love and hate in my little salt world.

Beats me. I know that pic is not a perfect match. The differences are the legs on mine are hair like and not fine like or fanned out as the pic you provided. Also the antennae and rear end appendages look different. They are longer. I really have no clue. I looked at a bunch of things and that worm I mentioned looks the closest. Again not 100% match either though.
