Worried about anthias

So I just got two beautiful lyretail anthias.... acclimated via drip... and into the DT. Before you grill me about QT, I QT some fish but not when I get them from this particular LFS because they have a really great QT system that they do to all incoming fish.

Anyways, I got a male and a female, and acclimated with drip in a small bucket. I put on gloves and caught the female, into the tank, and she's good. When I went to grab the male, he leapt about 3 feet into the air and landed on a towel, so I scooped him up and added to the tank. Fast forward about an hour I go to check on the fish, and the female is swimming around fine (a bit skittish but thats to be expected). But the male is lying on his side in the back of the tank. I thought he was dead, so I went to net him out and he swam away and now I can't find him. Do you think he's on his way out or just very stressed due to the move and the carpet surfing?

I guess if I don't see him by tomorrow afternoon I'm gonna have to start checking the rocks for a dead fish...

They are pretty hardy and super skittish when first introduced, give him a couple of days and he should be good. Mine used to lay flat on his side under a rock for days when first in QT. Now he's bold as.

Good to know, thanks for the input. I did find him, he's in a cave and has his eyes open at least, and I know he's alive because he blinked at me when I shined a light on him.
