Worried about my BTA

I have had this BTA for about 8 days now and it refuses to fully open.
I originally placed it in the middle of my tank with moderate flow and decent light. It didn't like that location so it moved up and down the rocks and I was like "okay, whatever". Then a few days later it decided to drop behind my rocks and ball up. I waited a day to see if it would move back up, it didn't, so I managed to pull him out by contorting my hand to reach behind my rock work. I placed it back on the rock, and a few hours later it fell behind my rock work again!

2 days ago I placed the BTA in the upper-middle of the tank with more flow than before and in an area where he couldn't drop behind my rock work. It hasn't moved from it's new spot but it still wont open..

He is about 8-10" from my MP10, MP10 is on reef crest with power level of 5.

My water parameters are perfect.

Nitrates & Phosphates are less than 1 ppm.
Salinity is 1.025-1.026
Calcium is 440ppm
Mag is 1200
Temp fluctuates between 75-76 all day.
Haven't tested Alk in a few weeks but it was within good parameters when I did test.
Tank is 6 years old.

Did a 25% water change 10 days ago.
Replaced my 150w Metal Halide 3.5 weeks ago. (I am at 7 hours of Photo time)
1 month old RO/DI filters for top off.

Anybody have any insight?

Don't move it let it go where it wants to. I have two in separate tanks. Neither stayed where I put them. The one in my larger tank hid under a rock for a few days then finally started to come out. I did a water change and it went right back under the rock and balled up worse than yours. It's open now but still under the rock. Each time you move it you stress it and it will act weird for a day or more.

Agreed. Let the anemone decide where it wants to be. My guess is that it is still adjusting to your light intensity. Give it time.
