Would a clam touching an SPS cause a problem?

I recently purchased a clam and placed it near an SPS that I have, the clam slide a little no the rocks but now has attached its foot nearly touching this SPS. Will either be harmed if they do touch?

I have not had any problems but if the clams mantle extends consisitantly over part of the coral and the coral gets no light...........well ya know.

You should have no problems if the clam touches the sps. I have some small clams that are embedded inside some of my acro colonies and their is no sliming or anything. Just as long as both get light, everything is fine.
