Would like to add anemone

I have a 55-gallon with live rock. I think the live rock isn't as "live" as it should be, but not sure how important that is. I have two clowns that have done well for about 2 1/2 years. I have a dottyback, clown goby and a cardinal. I'd kike to add an anemone for the clowns. I don't have special lighting. What are my options at this point that aren't too expensive? Thanks!

Take a look at the Chinese Black Box LED's on Ebay I've provided a link to Ebay search for you. This is a 165 w Full Spectrum dimmable and can take care of any corals or anemones you wish to keep.

They were around $83 not long ago so they've gone up a bit. If you want to spend a little bit more you can get one with the remote. So it seems some upgrades have been made. But at $95 shipped they won't break the bank.

Thanks! My 55 gallon tank is about 4 feet long and 14 inches wide. I'd need two of those lights, right? What would i want to mount them, they don't come with mounts, do they?

My 2cents...dont rely on me, just food for thought. I am a fan of a deal. However, I have cut corners in previous years to get the price down. I understand for most folks including myself, spending alot on our tanks will get us shot by the wife! I have destroyed my tank 3 times cutting corners. I bit the bullet and started acquiring more quality products. I am not saying radions or anything like that. Before you consider an ebay led, look into the folks who actually make the things for our tanks. I have a MARS LED unit....not for aquariums. Their main products are for horticulture. I am not bashing these LEDs, but I recommend you treat your lighting just like everything else you put into your tank. Get the best you can.
Reefbreeders have excellent LEDS at a really good price. I personally Have onyx fixtures by rapid LED (apex controllable). The ebay Chinese LEDs may be fine, and may be the deal for you, but explore the ptions a little bit.

The Chinese Black Box LED's are fine and no they don't come with hanging kits but they are available online. I used one of these for a very long time and my buddy Dave that owns http://www.operationtidalwave.com/ that raises many corals uses them as well. Great bang for the buck.

I went a little higher end light because I wanted to run only one light over my 40b. I recently bought the Ocean Revive Arctic T247 and it's an amazing light way brighter than I'll ever use it even if I put in some high light SPS. But with the CBB you only get a 24x24 area more like a spotlight and yes you will need two for your tank to get full coverage. My new light covers my tank very well with no dark areas like the single CBB did. I had 6" both sides that were pretty dark. But the CBB lights do work and they work well. There is a thread here on them in the Lighting forum.

Just started using the WellPAR verison of these over a 125 FOWLR -> Reef conversion after Christmas. I moved a few frags from my Radion XR30 powered reef to the 125.
So far they few frags are doing fine. Good PE and some new growth.
Still playing with intensity and photo period.
I will say that the lights make the tank look great though.
