i have had my marron clown in my tank for almost a month and is doing amazing. and has hosted my BTA...i was wondering how possible it would be to pair him or her up with another marron and what i should look for when i go and buy if i can. thanks!!!

Your BTA needs to be 3 times bigger than the clowns. I would look for the smallest maroon possible. How big is the one you have?

my BTA is about 7 inches maybe more when he is fully opened and the clown i have now is about 2 inches or so...so what do you think?

ok ill do that..and what is QT i understand that its a totally differnet tank..but is there special med that you put in it? i have never used it and ihave NEVER had a problem with any of my fish so i was just wondering what it does

QT is an opportunity for you to observe the fish for any sign of parasite/disease without the risk of contaminating/infecting any of your other fish, and also to treat said fish without risking your other inhabitants.

I'd also hit any new fish with a freshwater bath prior to QT, just in case there's any Ich present.

Nice thread, but a 10 gallon QT tank in front of any of my 3 tanks for 30 days would be impossible to keep up with maintenance.

ooo that thread was amazing..i dont think im gonna try it anymore..lol..i have a hard time when my fish die i get a little attached when my last pair of clowns died i actualy cried for a week and my boyfriend thought it was weird..so im not even gona try it if one might die..thanks thou!!! :)

Well I just threw a smaller GSM in w/ the female and w/in 30 mins they were swimming w/ each other. Of course I watched them in case the small one got the crap beat out of him.
