I saw that you looked at my thread so that should give you a basic idea so far. I used black Krylon usion for my tank, as well as that Aqualight fixture from hellolights.

I'm not sure about the skimmer though as I am going skimmerless.

Depending on which powerheads you get it might start to get cramped inside the tank with all that equipment in there.

20lbs is a good amount of rock...but 10lbs of sand seems like a lot of sand. I think my sandbed is about 2" at the most.

The skimmer IMO is a waste of $$$ on a 10g,do weekly 2g water changes,& u will b fine.

Then use the skimmer $$$ for livestock,& 5 x-tra lbs of LR.
