It's a 2" DC solenoid valve. Could this be wired to a float switch, so that when the water level reaches a certain height in the surge container the valve will open, then close when another float triggers at a lower water level? I know people have done something similar, but they use $300 actuated ball valves. This seems to be a much cheaper alternative.
