Would this work....?

Maybe i'm a bit paranoid but i would rather be that then not cautious. I've mentioned in previous threads that i drained and sterilized my QT and now i am re-cycling it. I'm a bit worried that i didn't properly dry my ceramic rings which is my media i'm using to cycle the tank. My tank is pretty much cycled now and i don't want to get rid of the media....can i just dose the tank with CP for another 10 days to take out any possibility of anything that survived?

Why don't you just dispose of them? They are fairly cheap at any petstore and Dr. Tim's nitrifying bacteria work well to start the cycle. It increases the cost of QT slightly but worth it in my opinion.
So you can re-sterilize the tank and buy new filter media. Then you can seed it with new beneficial bacteria.

Haven't used Dr. Tims, but have tried a ton of bacteria.

BioSpira seems to work like a champ. It seeded MarinePure spheres in a day and we had fish in our QT a day later. No ammonia issues.

You guys are probably right..i'll replace the media and i did just get a new bottle of bio-spira and i know that stuff works as i have used it before.

Bio Spira is a very good product. The only reason I go with Dr. Tim's is it's usually $3-$4 cheaper. Not a big difference but when you are also buying antibacterial medication ($10-$12), carbon ($2-$4), sponges and add the cost of water changes the overall cost of QT can sometimes be higher than the fish itself...at least for a hobbyist who does not buy big loads of fish at one time like retailers do.
