Would you put it in your tank?

I just received some frags in the mail and the top one was a little too close to the heat pack. It smells extremely bad and the water had a brown hue. It looks as there is some skin left on it, but chances of survival seem slim.

Would you put it in your tank? Or is there a chance of it fouling up water quality?

If the coral smells dead, it probably is. Although its probably a goner, you can give it a shot. A single dead coral shouldn't foul the water.

just dont put the bag water in the tank and see if it makes it
