hi

currently i have a 40 gal softy tank

but i want sps so much

so im planning a 18" tank

with MH lighting (70w or 150 if i can get a chiller sorted)
tunze 6000/tunze nano's in september (im in the uk thats the soonest i can get them)
mce 500
and a sump and po4 reactor

is all this equipment suitible, i will have 15kg'ish if LR

so what are the most colourful sps out there, what are the easyest to keep

i read on how stabability is the key rule, so before i buy a sps im going to keep this tank and just see how hard stababilty is to keep in a small tank

also i read about nutrient must be low. is this just done by low feeding, so will a pair of clownfish be ok to keep in my tank with my sps, what about clowns and a bicolor angel (never nipped anything, but knowing my luck will only nip the expensive coral :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: )

so what are your views on this

thank you so much

steve

My understanding is that small tanks have very little forgiveness. If something changes in the tank it happens fast and hard. Nutrients control is a combination with filtration and bioload. If you only have a small amount of fish and an oversized good skimmer then you would not need to feed less.
How many gallons are you planning?
