I wouldn't have thought this wouldn't work.I have a 10 inch black trigger and I added a 3 inch naso tuesday. As soon as I added the naso the trigger went after him.I walk over to the tank and the trigger ran off.The two was cool after that the naso was eating and everthing was cool.I work 24 hours so I went to work wednesday I call my girlfreind and asked her how the new fish was doing and she said the were all out swimming together.I get home yesterday and fed my fish and didn't see the naso.I moved some LR around and he came out he had bite marks all over him. While I was getting my net to get the naso out to put him in my QT the trigger bite him again.I got him out to put him in my QT and he was dead before he made it to my QT.I told my girlfriend about it and she said I notice he was looking like he had been chewed on yesterday and said wow did he come like that.I told her she should have said something when I asked her about him we could have got him out sooner.I guess maybe since the naso was dark the trigger thought it was another trigger and went after it.Its not cause it's a new fish because I have added 5 new fish after the trigger one of the fish was an inch long and the trigger has not look twice at any of them.

Well, I think this may have happened for two reasons. First, the fact that the naso was new to the system, and the trigger was well-established. Second, the fact that the naso to the trigger has similar shape and coloration and was therefore deemed as a competitor. The reason, perhaps, that your trigger did not attack the other fish you added after the trigger is that the other fish did not look similar to the trigger to be considered by the trigger as a competitor. The naso being added after the trigger was established and looking similar in shape and color may have caused the trigger's aggression. I guess now you know that if you add any fish to this system which resemble the trigger you need to take precautions. What I would do is first catch and remove the trigger and place him in quarantine. Add the new fish and let the new fish get settled. Once the new fish is settled, re-introduce the trigger to the display. You should avoid any such problems with this approach. A less onerous approach but not as full proof is to attach a mirror on the tank to keep the trigger occupied battling his reflection. Within several days after introducing the new fish with the trigger focusing his main attention on his reflection, you can remove the mirror and usually you would expect the trigger to not be very aggressive toward the new fish.

Gf or fish... that is the question.... any thoughts on this
FYI you still have until the 7th or 8th of May before you will be able to see the classifieds (50 posts/90 days). That is of corse providing that the mods do not adjust your post count back down do to post padding.

How big is the tank?
Are the other fish you added also laterally compressed? Fish tend to be a little more aggressive towards similar shaped fishes, even if they're not that closely related.
