wow im completely bummed out..

ive been look for a peacock mantis for some time now. Today i called about 10 petstores up in fremont and san jose and not FS has one, i even asked my LFS and they said they dunno if they can even order one.. well any one have any ideas?. pretty bummed because i bought and setup my tank specifically for a O.S and now its just sitting there empty... with no life except 3 margarita snails..

Your in Monterey? Well Aquarium Concepts in Hayward have told me that they can order peacocks...have you tried them? And I think its called Octo Pets in Berkely ive heard has them from time to time. There are also a few online stores that claim to have some...ill look and if I find any ill post a link

also check here from time to time as they seem to get mantis shrimp fairly often...

Really? hmm Im on prety good terms with one of the girls that work there and she got her boss for me one day and he said he could order them and it was the only one he could order by name because "it is the easiest to identify" well thats what he said anyway...im suprised that said they couldnt. Perhaps they dont have a source anymore...

its not that they told me they couldnt, they just never told me they could. When i called a gentlemen picked up the phone and greeted me, i ask if they had any peacock mantis shirmps in stock and then he asked me if that was salt water, I replied yes and he told me that they only had one black and yellow and thats all. =(

Yeah, they still have the Lysiosquillina maculata. That guy has been there for several months now in a tiny little plastic specimen cage

thats sad about the L maculata........ too bad im not near by or else i would rescue the guy
