So I've been cycled for maybe 2 months or so. Tank (40G Nuvo) is stocked with 2 clowns, 2 Skunk cleaner shrimp (1 just added yesterday), 1 fire shrimp, 2 tiny cortez hermits, 3 scarlet hermits (no bigger than 1/2''), 5 Nassarius Snails, 3 Trochus snails, 1 fighting conch.
Corals: 1 duncan, 1 acan, 1 torch, 1 green mushroom, 1 ricordea mushroom, 1 discosoma mushroom and 1 gsp.
All my corals are looking great and have had noticiable growth (expecially the duncan, acan and ricordia which were my first 3 corals)
Ive lost 1 Nassarius and 1 Blue legged hermit (which were pretty much lethargic from day 1) and yesterday i lost a pepermint shrimp who was super tiny and couldn't compete with the other shrimp in the tank (she was super small but still seamed fine until i seen my big scarlet cleaner eating her last night...who knows what happen there)
water parameters have been great this whole time ammonia 0 of course, nitrite 0 and nitrates 10 (im a heavy feeder, its fun watching everyone eat)
This is what im impressed about, tonight is the first time i tested for cal, mag and alk
Cal 410
MG 1480
Alk 9.7

For a noob (first tank EVER) i feel like im killing it (knock on wood)

i have a yellow watchman gobie who gets out of TTM jail tomorrow, that I've been stressing on cause he hasn't been eating but now he's good, munchin on Hikari s pellets and frozen mysis for the past couple days.
I also have a tail spot blenny and a zebra stripe dart fish sitting in another QT waiting for my gobie to finish TTM so they can start the ttm process.
I also have a pistol shrimp chillen with the blenny and dart who is going to go in another QT tomorrow with the yellow WM for a couple weeks to let them mingle and fatten up before they go into the DT.

I want to give a HUGE thanks to all the people who have helped me along the way and i wanna empathize what everyone always says. GO SLOW, READ READ READ, RESEARCH and RESEARCH some more, ask a million questions and last but not least GO SLOW...
thanks again guys and gals

Are you sure that it wasn't eating a 'molted' body?

AK707, don't go getting cocky on us now. You are only 2 months past your cycle... that's still some distance from a 'mature' tank which is usually 6 to 12 months from the start up.

It's nice to hear that things are going well for you. So much of what gets talked about here are bad things, so keep up the good work and keep us in the loop.
