Wow, is every place in the internet sold out on Peacocks?

I've been on a hunt for Mantis shrimp (peacock) for 2 weeks now and every place seems to be sold out/unavailable, do you know of any places that might have a decent sized specimen for a reasonable price?

I've had a tank ready for this little criter for 2 weeks now and it looks empty without a tenant

What websites have you tried? I've seen them for sale at www.fishsupply.com . Let me know how it works out, I'm planning on setting up my 75gallon specimen tank in a month or so and i want to order one from there.

I'll call them and see if the $$$ they want for it is reasonable i heard the sipping charges are pretty insane

Yeah I just checked it out I suppose its kind of expensive but if their the only game in town what can you do. I'm really new to this so maybe some of the more experienced board members could be more helpful.

I bought mine from Fish Supply and paid $70.00 for the Mantis and shipping to Michigan. I did get put on a waiting list for it, because I requested a male if they could get one. It took about a month. No complaints at all on what I received and the price was well worth it to me.

Mainly becuase they are a bit more green in color and the females are more olive. More so, most friends that I know have the female, so I wanted to try and get a male if possible.
No plans on breeding. I don't know of anyone yet or have read on here that was successful in doing that in captivity.
