Brad, what's up with the lighting system? Is that permanent or temp. If permanent, can I see a pic of it?

If I remember right he is making a hanging canopy, So I think the one is the pic is only a temp...

Yep, the lighting is very temporary,
Sumps in the basement.

Lights will be placed in a suspended canopy, I found really cool stainless steel chain to hang it from.

Mantis, I am going to try to build the Lumenarc type reflectors and am debating on how I want to hang them, (canapy vs suspended canopy). That's why I am curious since yours is in an open area as well.

It's kind of difficult to explain, you have to see the mental picture I have in my head

Large canopy surrounds all the lights, but it's smaller than the overall dimensions of the tank, so you can look down. One end is hinged to the wood that surrounds my plumbing on one end of the tank. The other end is suspended on stainless chain. If I really need to work on the tank, the canopy raises up like a hood of a car.

Your tank looks great & I really like your idea for the lighting. It is original. I've never seen a canopy like your describing but, from the picture in your head, I think it will look nice & be functional.
