Wow Part 2

Yep that is what he started to look like, if he is not dead what is the star doing with him? Didn't look good. Still haven't seen the Octo and amonia is actually heading down from .50.

star will not eat a cuke....!

they have higher standards.......

amazing the ammonia is there .....good job on the cycle!!

Richard maybe I am calling it the wrong name. Look at the picture above of the coral tree standing in the front of the tank. At the bottom right is the animal I am talking about. I watched the starfish drag it under a rock and it is on top of it as we speak... You also shipped me a tree thing that is brown and has branches that are about 1/2" in diameter. I planted it in a high flow area but now the tip's are turning white and strands like spider web are coming off of it. The hermit's love this tree, should I move it from the high flow area?

That is a corky gorgonian from the keys.....remove it, snip off the white ends with scissors, replace....they grow like weeds, but ya have to get rid of the white ends...

I am so jealous, we had a purple gorgonian like the one you have on the right side of the tank, but I came DOA :( You've caused me to me to want to go order a replacement. See what you've done.

Don't worry about something dying in the tank. If its dead the believe me you'll know. We knew something was dead in the extras box in part 2 as soon as we opened the box. That stench can be smelled through quadruple bagging everything. Same thing with a coral that I bought that got a brown jelly infection, you will wish you could forget that stench.

As far as cukes go, maybe what your seeing is your cuke molting. My stops for a couple of days goes to sleep, loses a layer of flesh and starts sifting through the sand.
BTW you tank looks great!

Sorry Amylanders didn't want to make you jealous....:) I haven't even had much of a cycle, I wonder if that is because Richard got the rock to me so quick, or if it is because of the water volume in the tank. I am just sort waiting now for everything to drop back to zero, they seem to have leveled out. Ammonia never went above .50. Nitrates have stabilized at 40. My family loves the tank, and I am going to have to make a Crab/ mantis trap I saw a good size Gorilla crab today about 1/2 " across.
