WP40 sensor

my WP40 didn't come with a sensor so I decided to grab another one(sensor) and when I put it in last night it didn't go into night mode. When I got home from work today with lights on it IS in night mode.

what am i doing wrong

is there any replacement sensors that will make night mode operate properly?

the sensor can't be in complete darkness, it needs to have a little light to still work, weather from moonlight or what not.

from what I heard radio shack sells better ones that work in complete darkness though.

mine doesn't work with moonlights on only with my daylights on

do you have a fuge light that runs on opposite times as the DT lights?

yes but it is behind the wall. All plumbing goes through the wall because my stand was too short to fit a sump and skimmer in

you will prob. have better luck with the sensor from radio shack then.

you can put a resistor (500K) in parallel with the sensor. this solved my problem

I got a sensor off of an extra unit I have and that one works in total darkness

Mine worked in night mode last night in complete darkness. Just got them yesterday will double check tonight just to be sure (but i double checked last night also).
