Wrascally Cleaner Wrasse

So I check out the tank and sump this morning and find that my cleaner wrasse is swimming around in the return part of the sump. The tank has a 1/4" screen over the overflow box and I have a bean animal return. The Wrasse made it through the screen, past the valve, into and out of the protein skimmer chamber, up and over two baffles, and was just fine swimming around the return pump. One reason to keep the screen on the return pump. I was planning on doing some cleaning of the sump soon anyway, so I took everything apart, retrieved the Wrasse, cleaned, and everything is back to normal and the Wrasse is OK.

The are escape artists, that's for sure. Most end up carpet surfing so you lucked out that he kept himself in the water.

mine went missing too , Im pretty sure he's somewhere in my sump but my sump is a 150 gal stock tank loaded with rock and equipment . maybe some day I'll clean it out and find him lol
