wrasse compatibility

i was just wondering if anyone has any experience keeping a mystery wrasse and a mckoskers wrasse together in the same tank. i was also wondering if a harlequin shrimp would become dinner for either of those? thanks in advance..

Probably not a good matching as mystery wrasses can be problematical for flasher wrasses.

Which is not universally true. Leopards, flashers, and fairy are no threat.

I have a good many fairy wrasses. I keep thinking on the Mystery wrasse but each time I think about what snorvich says about the aggression of the Mystery wrasse with fairy's so I pass.

Theres alot of nice fairy wrasses to choose from.

my mystery wrasse has picked on 2 inverts, but only when they were in a weakend state. he ate a small hermit crab after it got kicked out of hid shell by another one. then he killed and ate a peppermint shrimp that was twice his size. other than that he has shown no aggression towards the other fish or inverts. i know that does not answer your question. my point is only that mine is very docile but displays opportunistic violence on a massive level. i wouldnt risk it. watching him kick the crap out of that peppermint shrimp and not being able to stop it sucked.

One would hope not. That would be rather bizarre. :hmm4:
