what kind of wrasse is this? I got it at a lfs and no one had a clue.

Maybe a subadult Coris venusta?

Yep, Coris venusta. Beautiful fish; Ive never actually seen one for sale before.
They arent really reef safe, so be careful what kind of critters you mix it with. You shouldnt have a problem with it bothering coral, but clams, snails, shrimp, crabs, etc will likely be eaten. Nice grab!

right now it is in my sump.....my mystery wrasse chased it all over the place so i caught him and threw him under.....i may have to get rid of it.
