wrasse in hyposalinity

I have a 12 line wrasse in my 29G QT tank. Since I dropped the salinity to 1.010 last week, he doesn't seem to be doing too good. He is not eating much, lying in the sand a lot, and his color is off. My water parameters are not too bad. 79F, ammonia 0, nitrites 0-.25, nitrates 20, ph 8.0. He doesn't have any spots on him or any other markings that I see.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Denise, is it a new fish for you? And I'm assuming the hypo is for ich? If he's new, it may be that he also has internal parasites that he is battling, and the hypo is just making it harder for him to remain healthy enough to do so.

Bill c. will chime in here, and he is really an expert on fish health, but if I were you I'd start raising the tank salinity, and if the fish is still alive (doesn't sound good right now I have to admit) then you can try something different for the ich.

Listen to Bill though-- :)

Hi, Chris,
The hypo is for ich. I've had this fish for a little over 3 months now. He's been growing and eating since I got him. He was definitely stressed about being moved into smaller quarters (I think he killed my goby). But he seemed okay until now. Thank you so much. He's a really nice fish and I hope he makes it.
