Wrasse Mixing

Ive never kept Flasher or Fairy Wrasses before, and was really interested in adding some to one of my tanks.


I may sound like a noob asking this, but does anyone know of any problems mixxing multiple types and sexes of Fairy and Flasher wrasses?

I know most people keep a harem of 1 type but... looking for some diversity if possible.


Im looking at the smaller wrasses.

Any thoughts would be excellent.

I know its lots of reading but the answer to every wrasse question you could have is in the fairy wrasse sticky at the top of the forum. If you are serious about fairies its must reading.

In general, mixing fairy and flasher wrasses works out well but on occasion if you happen to hit a species whose appearance is similar in coloration and size, there can be some mild initial strife. Read the Fairy Wrasse Photo thread for answers to ALL questions on these wonderful fish. I have five species (soon to be six) all of which are pairs or harems.
