Wrasse Pains

I had some issues with my lunar wrasse a few weeks ago nibbling on my softies... So I tried to net it with no luck. Finally I saw it go into a rock so I removed the whole rock and put it into my QT. So now I have the animal all by itself with one rock in the tank... Problem is I cant get to it without it heading right back into the rock... Ive tried sneaking up and snatching the rock out while its feeding. But I am too slow. Any suggestions here? Im trying to trade it in for store credit.

Ive tried a bottle trap while it was in the DT. Maybe ill have to try it again.
in my experience here's what worked for me

Leave trap in tank. Don't try to catch the fish; rather let the fish adjust to the trap.

Once that happens don't feed for 1 or 2 days. When it's time to feed, pug food inside the trap. The fish will find it's way in

Thanks for that! I sure hope so. I mean its not causing any harm now since its out of the DT. But the credit would assist in my coral purchases :)

You might want to try the High & Dry method outlined in this link. It's always worked well for me.

Ill give that a shot too. Syphoning my qt is hard tho its right on the floor.

Just use a big gulp container or something. Once the water reaches a certain level the fish will panic, and should come shooting out of that rock. GL.
