Wrasse Question

I'm about to add a fish to my tank. I'm wanting a wrasse, and a reef safe one at that.

Whats a good happy wrasse to get? I've heard that the sixline is a good one.... What ya'll think?

I have a 4line looks like a sixline with different colors. One of my favorites.

Fairy wrasses are nice. Check out the Solar and Scotts.

Mystery Wrasses are beautiful but have hefty price tags.

I've heard from a lot of people that sixlines can be very aggressive, so if you want a more peaceful wrasse, dont go that route. I'm going to recommend the Melanurus Wrasse. One of the nicest looking IMO, a wrasse that not a lot of people have, and is great for flatworms and really any kind of worms in your tank (including feather dusters and coco worms). I love my melanurus.

By the way, the males are much more vibrant than the females

All are reef safe wrasses

Almost. There are some wrasses that get rather large, ie rock mover, broom tail, and will flip rocks over whether they have corals on them or not. So I would not consider these reef safe. Plus depending on what the other inhabitants are you may want to look away from the sixline. Beautiful but can be aggresive. Fairy wrasses are beautiful and usually less aggresive.

I meant all the ones I suggested

I've had a sixline in my tank for a year - he's a model citizen, and really fun to watch. I added him one of the first (lfs advice) and he hasn't been agressive at all (lucky!), but I've heard that's not normal.
