Kind of excited - Tuesday we finally put our 2 purple fire fish, blue stripped black Velvet damsel, twin spot goby and a kole tang in our DT. All the new guys hid in the 125lb of live rock as to be expected, peaking out every once in a while.
The DT only had 3 chromis and a carpenter flasher wrasse as far as fish go. Well, 1 hour after releasing them into the DT we heard a large splash - we quickly looked to see what was happening. All of the fish looked spooked and were accounted for except the wrasse. We have egg crate to prevent suicide attempts but we looked on the floor around the DT anyway. Did not see anything. We figured he would show up by morning since he has always been outgoing (not aggressive) since we have had him (4 months). Well he didn't show up. The next couple of days we looked for a carcass - none found. Long story short today while feeding, he darted out of no where, grabbed some food and back into the LR. He did this a few times and he is now back hiding in the LR somewhere. We have never seen him act so skittish before - guessing he use to be "king" and isn't taking well to the new guys. Anyway, we are soo glad he is alive.
