Wrasse stuck in rock?

I got a sixline wrasse today. When I got home from work it looked as if it were stuck in a piece of LR. Is it normal for them to lodge themselves into small spaces. Should I worry or should I just let him be?

A lot of fish will be pretty rattled on introduction to a new tank and will head straight for cover, that is pretty normal. I would give it some time, sixlines are pretty tough fish.

Thanks I just needed some encouragement, I lost a fish in my overflow recently and am kinda hesitant on kooky fish behavior.

I'd leave it be. Wrasses are known to do this. This is also where they sleep at night. They produce a type of mucus cocoon when sleeping & usually it is within the Live Rock.

I agree, let him be for right now. I have had issues in the past with a mandarin getting stuck in my overflow (not great swimmers IMO) - but six-lines are MUCH better swimmers, so I would say give him a chance if you think he might just be fooling around.

Hard to say though. Has he got it all figured out?
