I seem to remember a thread about multiple wrasses in a tank, and which ones to get. But I can't seem to find that thread. I am looking for a few wrasses to get in a tank and trying to learn about them. I have a 4' 120 and looking to have a few wrasses. few questions
1. How many wrasses could I have in that size of tank.
2. Do they get along with other wrasses?
3. Here is a list that I like not looking to spend a lot of money on one single wrasse either so any advice on ones to get would be appreciated.
Naokos Fairy, Equisite Fairy, Scotts Fairy, McCoskers Flasher, Carpenters Flasher. These are just a few of my favorite cheaper wrasses.

I have a naoko wrasse and he is a little aggressive. He was the last one in and has taken command of the other wrasses. I had a smaller one that was mellow from what I have read about them semi aggressive. I have a mccosters and had another a long time ago both real mellow. I had an equisite, mostly mellow. Never had a carpenters, I believe they are mellow. I was thinking of getting a Scotts but everything I'm reading is aggressive. I have a female flame mellow. I had a whip fin, semi aggressive. I had a pylei somewhat aggressive.

ha, really good thread I copied it onto a word document so I can keep for later. Quick question, on the flasher wrasses do the males need to be in a pair to flash?

No, you can just have other male Fairy or Flasher Wrasses in the tank :)

so i was reading that they need to have other peaceful tank mates. Would tangs/ angels be ok since they are mostly aggressive towards ones own kind?

My filamented flasher has taken a great disliking to my new yellowfin flasher that's half his size. I hope the agro dies off. It annoys me to have bullies in the tank.

That's why you should always use an acclimation box for introducing new Wrasses to a tank with established ones. I'm guessing it did subside by now either way though.

My lunar wrasse is the most aggressive fish in my tank. Even more so than the yellwo tang. He has killed a cleaner wrasse, dragon wrasse and a flame fish.... Cant catch the murderous dude for the life of me...

Ive heard this before and laughed but I think it may have to happen. My issues is im not sure a pet store will take the fish if it has a hole in its mouth. They offered me 15 if I can catch it.
