Wrasse with white dots

First, I have had this wrasse for 2 months. I QTed it for 30 days. First week with Seachem Paraguard. Second week I did a 20% water change and ran carbon. Third and Forth week I removed the carbon and used Seachem Cupramine. Fifth week I placed the wrasse in the 40G reef, which has 1 yellow tail blenny, 1 watchmen goby, and 1 small vampire tang (waiting for it to get some size to add it to my 125G reef). About a week ago the wrasse started getting these white dots and they started to multiple on it, but no signs of abnormal behavior, no scratching, hiding, and etc. It still eats normal and swims normal. None of the other three fish seem to have these white dots.

Also, the 40G reef has been running for 6 months, and all the water checks are great.

So, I was trying to figure out if this is ich or Lymp.., I've come across a few threads on Reef Central that suggest Lymp is sometimes mistaken for ich. So, is this the case?

Thank you,

Thanks all. That's what I was afraid of, the dreaded ich. So, I had to take all the live rock out of the 40 reef today to catch the fish to QT them.
Additionally, I've started the recommended Cupramine dosage. So far so good, they still are very active and eating.

Sounds easy enough to perform, but at this I don't have enough spare equipment on hand. I will definitely give it a try if this happens again. As long as ich has been in the hobby, one would think that a reef safe medicine would be available by now lol

i agree, we have people on an international space station, but no reef safe Ich remedy yet :) i am confident we will one of these days... in the meantime, i will rely on being obsessive compulsive with treating them before going to the DT

are you planning to leave the DT fallow for 12 weeks while you put your fish through copper treatment + observation?
