Does anyone have a laboutei fairy wrasse? I saw one on marinecenter.com and was thinking about purchasing one. Pic would be helpful.

What else is in your tank? What size tank?

yes size of your tank and what else you have in it would be nice to know..one of my favorite fairys...mine is a little aggressive to the firefish and smaller fairys and flashers..other than that a great fish..i see mine display quite often... a top is a must with these as they will jump..here is a couple pics of mine

Great pics wrasseguy2. I have a 60g tank, and my tank is open on top.No jumpers yet, been running over a year. I currently have a ruby head,sixline,midas, blenny,stigmata blenny,pair of clowns,sunburst. I was really interested in the laboutei. It just caught my eyes, but I might have too much of a fishload.

well i would not add the laboutei but i would put a top on that tank..it is just a matter of time before that ruby head jumps..it not if it will it is when..i thought i could get by with an open top and had to learn the hard way...then i used eggcrate..it was ok for the larger fairys but the small ones got through and even then if it was no secured down the big fairys would knock it lose and get out..happened to my lineatus..lucky i was there to see it and after that i got a better top..i would hate to see you lose a fish that way

Thank you I appreciate your input. I'm pretty happy with my current fishload. I was looking into getting thel aboutei but it seems that their might be some aggression towards others.

I agree with wrasseguy2 especially about the top. Eggcrate will NOT work.
