just curious if a leopard wrasse is safe to be with sharks and rays? i really like how they look. are they a open swimming fish or do they hide alot? will they pick at my shark or ray? what other cool wrasses are compatible?
thx

I'm not completely sure but I don't think they are. Use this for reference: reef safe wrasses aren't safe with sharks, but most non-reef safe wrasses are.

What sharks? Bandeds, Epi's? Most of them are geared towards hunting food from the sand, the rays especially, which leopard wrasses sleep. I think they would become food pretty quickly, more so when they are first introduced into the tank and they hide for long amounts of time before adjusting.

That's why IMO non-reef safe wrasse are shark safe, as they don't bury themselves in sand and also get larger then most reef safe wrasses.

well i have a marbled catshark, and plan on getting a cortez ray. on another note, can i keep shrimp gobies and sandsifting gobies with a shark and or ray? or will they be snacks as well?

can you say expensive lunch lol alot of small fish get eaten i was talking to a guy that had his ray pin 3 chromis the the glass then eat them. rays and sharks should be kept with bigger fish IMO

You can keep smaller fish with sharks & rays, just make sure they are quick enough to get away and have a hiding place to get away to.
