Wrasses that sleep in the sand?

Would they do okay with the fiji pink reef sand as there are chunks of shell and rocks? I don't want to get a wrasse that sleeps in the sand if it is going to get cut and be more prone to diseases. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks :)

That's what I was using in my old tank, it works great for 2 leopard wrasses and a melanurus.

I use Fiji pink as well without problems with sand sifters and wrasses that dive into the sand. I took out the shells, though, as I thought they detracted from the look I wanted for the sand bed.
