This is an old thread I know, but lots of wrasse lover here..... Has anyone used an egg crate with a acrylic top over the egg crate to stop the wrasses from jumping, still room for air exchange? ....

How much 'air exchange' would there be with a piece of acrylic on top?
Just get some 1/4" netting and no need to worry about jumpers or air exchange

I was thinking of the netting shadowing the tank. I bought some nylon mosquito netting after a clownfish went carpet surfing, the netting seemed to darken the tank. Looking for alternatives to the netting.

Egg creat will work but it's not the best choice. As suggested get the 1/4 netting. You will be lot happier with the finished product. Egg create will restrict your lightning

Maybe I didn't get the right netting, the netting I bought seemed to dim the lighting much more than the egg crate. What type of netting do you suggest????
